For the association La Strada del Vino Valcalepio e dei Sapori della Bergamasca, 2019 was a true turning point, seeing dozens of events, fairs, activities and missions abroad.
Deserving much of the credit for the rebirth of the association is its new governance and organization led by President Enrico Rota and General Secretary Giorgio Lazzari, who have ferried La Strada del Vino Valcalepio e dei Sapori della Bergamasca towards a future that is bound to bring great successes to the province’s food and wine sector.
During 2019, La Strada del Vino Valcalepio e dei Sapori della Bergamasca, which is accredited by the Lombardy Region and hosted by the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, has created a promotional map featuring associates and food and wine itineraries across the entire Province of Bergamo, and numerous publications, stimulating strong interest well beyond provincial borders, through a series of missions across Italy and abroad.
The association provides all its members with a wonderful opportunity for enhancing visibility by promoting local wines and products, from craft beers right through to typical desserts, pastries, jams and cheeses, as attractors of tourist flows benefiting local businesses, restaurants and accommodation facilities.
The constant work to raise awareness of the region’s best qualities will, in the coming weeks, see the association take part in a special event organized by the Federazione Nazionale delle Strade dei Vini e dei Sapori, or the “National Federation of the Roads of Wine and Flavours”.
